FAQs

How did you first realize you wanted to be an author?

Funny enough, becoming an author was never a thought of mine until I started journaling. Once I realized how effortlessly it was for me to write my raw and authentic feelings, truth, and story to paper, I started to come around to the idea. In 2022, I shared a video on instagram about experiencing infidelity in a marriage and the outpouring of people that reached out and shared their story or how they connected to the video was incredible. It was that day that I promised myself I would publish this book.

If sharing my story could help someone else feel less alone on their journey or inspire someone to embark on their own healing journey and quite possibly make the greatest comeback of all time, that’s all I could hope for.

What is your favorite part about being an author?

I am very new to the author-life, but I am most excited to connect with the readers. I hope the readers feel that this is a safe place to share their story with me.

You mentioned you have a full-time job, how do you find time to write?

Something I’ve learned in my healing over the last three years is that you can pursue more than one dream. You can be great at multiple things. Life is too short to not hustle and work towards every dream you have. And that’s how I did it. My full-time job has my focus and attention Monday-Friday from 6am-7:30pm. My book has my dedication from 7:30pm until I fall asleep and all weekend. If you want something badly enough, you have to work for it. To be honest, I spent most of my weekends of 2023, home in my kitchen writing this book.

Was it hard to write about and walk through your past again?

Definitely! I cried many nights as I wrote this book. But, writing about and walking through my past again allowed me to truly heal and be at peace with it. So, as hard as it was, I wouldn’t change a thing.

Are you nervous about sharing your story with the world?

Yes. Being vulnerable and open is scary. Criticism and critique is scary. But something else I’ve learned in my healing journey is that being scared and uncomfortable is good. That’s where you grow.

Will you write another book?

Yes, I am already thinking about what comes next. I have a few ideas up my sleeve and will share them soon!
